James Aldridge has been working as a professional visual artist for over ten years; using creative ways to develop, and communicate to others, sustainable and nurturing models of being with the world and each other. James is based in Wiltshire, UK.
James completed a BA(Hons) in Fine Art (Sculpture) in 1996, and focuses on the role of visual arts practice in promoting ecological awareness.
His practice comprises of three main areas, with each feeding into and informing the others:
Individual - Research, Making, Commissions and Exhibitions.
Participatory - Devising and Running Projects in Educational and Community Settings.
Consultancy - Project Development/Evaluation, Training, Presenting, Mentoring and Writing for Publication.

In 2008 James Aldridge set up creative ecology, an organisation that delivers workshops, projects, training, project development and evaluation.
The role of creative ecology is to facilitate the development of personal and environmental awareness, though creative activities and guided access to the local natural environment.
